With an important mayoral election getting closer, the chamber has organized what will be the only televised candidate forum to air on regional television, on WJBF TV. An important mission of the chamber of commerce is to provide education venues for our members for the purposes of informed voting decisions.

As we formulate questions for this year’s mayoral candidates who include Mayor Deke Copenhaver, Mr. Steven Kendrick, Mr. Ronnie Few and Mr. Gil Girard, we will explore issues such as fiscal strategies as well as the candidates’ views on economic development. But to make the issues resonate even further with our membership, we would ask your help in telling us what you would like to know.

We have prepared an opportunity, either through email or phone, for you to provide us with your questions. We would ask that you consider what issues you currently face with your business and how you would like to see the mayor’s office respond. Questions from our members will be used in the taping of the candidate’s forum the week of October 2 nd which will then air the following week.

We hope you will take a minute out of your busy day to tell us the one question you would pose to these candidates. Whether it is about business taxes, government accountability, or regional growth; we would like to hear from you.
